Sage FY 21 Kickoffs 10/27 and 10/28 Registration Issues?

  • 1.  Sage FY 21 Kickoffs 10/27 and 10/28 Registration Issues?

Is it just me or does Sage give confusing information about how to log in and register for sessions.

They ask that you register and submit a password.

Then in the registration confirmation email ( which I  appear to have received in triplicate with separate logins for each day ) they provide a different user name to use and login - but advise you use the password submitted during the registration ( Spoiler: Mine didn't work ). And then on the login screen there is no forgot password - so I presume you are either stuck emailing Sage and debugging their reg system or just waiting and hoping for the best on 10/27.

Yes, I had the same problems. After e-mailing the general e-mail on Thursday, I just e-mailed the SagePartnerDay@sage.com and also sara.straw@sage.com to see if I receive a response tomorrow. There is also no way to access Sessions. I would normally contact our trusty PAM, but she is now history.

Yes, I encountered frustration as well during the sign up.  After 30 minutes of clicking around, I shut it down and had a glass of wine.  It drove me to drink.  I managed to register, was assigned the main sessions, could not see any break out session.  Since it is virtual this year, I can't imagine missing out on sessions due to space limitations.

I also emailed the provided address. Heard nothing. No reply.

I agree with all of you regarding how confusing it was.  In the end, I believe there is only one session for each product line on Wed (10/28).  The general session for everyone is on Tue (10/27) from 1pm to 4:15pm ET.  The Sage 100 & Sage 300 session is combined into one session on Wed from 11am to 12:45pm ET.  And finally, the Partner Recognition hour is from 5pm-6pm Wed.

Like all of you, I was expecting to see several breakout sessions for each product line.  Instead, it is one breakout session per product line and they do NOT overlap.  If you carry multiple products, you can attend ALL the sessions.  At least, I think that's how they set this up.

I did receive a response e-mail from Sara Straw. She referred this to another Sage person - Kerri Davies, who may shed some light on this. Kerri is the Events Manager and has been with Sage for 20 years. I hope that means something.

By comparison, the platform ( https://www.rainfocus.com/ ) being used by Sage Intacct for their conference 10/20-21 seems much better coordinated.  One place to login and you can review and change schedules pretty easily. Maybe they'll use this for Sage Summit when/if it reschedules.

Or once everyone migrates to Intacct it is used by default....

Maybe but given that the Intacct Advantage sessions appear to have just one inventory update I’m not sure how quickly Intacct will be ready to accommodate Sage 100 or 300 or 500 migrations where distribution modules are used.

For the foreseeable future i think you’ll see SIC code companies not using inventory as the key migration targets.

I don’t know what percentage that is - maybe 1/4? I do sense a lot of GLAPAR types were either scared off by the constant price hikes or have been acquired and in turn swap to the acquirers accounting system

I did hear back from Kerri - she reset my password and went through what I had thought the sessions section would be. Did not work, so it may be my user name, which was supposed to be given to us upon registration, but it was not. I was using my e-mail address.

They will be adding Forgot Password? Isn't that a standard best practice?

Your e-mail address is not your user name. As it indicated, this was assigned when you registered. The problem is my registration confirmation just arrived 10 minutes ago, even though I registered on 10/15.

I successfully logged in and was excited to now see the other sessions . . . and it was about as exciting as Al Capone's Vault - nothing! There are no other sessions, and the ones we have are those related to our indicated product.

Should we all total up the time we all wasted on this? If I skip the 10/28 sessions from 12:50 - 2:30, that should make up for this.
