Sage Future – Takeaways (So Far!)

    Hi everyone!
Checking in from Sage Future-I've still got one more day here, but wanted to share a few highlights for the 90 Minds community:

✅ Sage 100 is holding strong. Even though there's not a lot of content and public facing comments on 100, there is lots of reassurance from Sage on their continued investment in 100-UI improvements, deeper integrations, and tools to help you retain and grow customer accounts.

    🧠 AI isn't coming-it's here.
Aaron Harris' keynote (who was pretty great) made it clear: AI is being embedded across platforms, with Copilots designed to actually support workflows and client success.

    💡 Intacct & X3 are scaling fast.
Shared services are enabling more innovation across platforms and faster feature delivery-especially targeting mid-market growth.

    On a personal note...
I love Meeting of the Minds for how close and collaborative it feels. Sage Future is a totally different scale-high-energy, and packed with content. It's exciting (and a bit overwhelming!). But because I'm not working the event, I've been able to really connect-with consultants, resellers, VARs, ISVs and affiliate partners. It's a great reminder of how strong our ecosystem is when we lean into those relationships.
I did take pictures of the slides from the keynotes as well as created some recorded transcripts of Steve Hare and Aaron Harris. I will be sharing everything on the content library in the coming days In the News folder underneath Sage Future.
I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve this community.

Sage 100 Road Ahead – Community Recap from Sage Future

Just came out of Mike Ritchie's Sage 100 Road Ahead session and wanted to share a full rundown for those in our community who couldn't make it. We had about 100 people in the room-half customers, half partners-and there was strong energy around what's working, what's on the way, and how Sage is continuing to invest in the product.

💡 Core Message: Reliability with Real Investment

The message was clear: ease of use is still Sage 100's greatest strength-and Sage is investing heavily to enhance the platform without compromising what people love about it. These updates are about continuity and clarity, not reinvention.

    🔧 What's Coming in 2025.0

    • Sage Intelligence 8.0
    • Sage Connect (AR management)
    • Supply Chain Intelligence (powered by Anvyl)
    • P/O Request for Quote
    • A/R Invoice Number Expansion
    • UPC/EAN support in Item Maintenance
    • Audit tracking for Sales & Purchase Orders

    📅 Expected Q3 2025

🗂️ Release Timeline & Roadmap Highlights

Here's how the FY25–26 roadmap is shaping up:

    • Q3 2025: Sage 100 2025.0
    • Q4 2025:
      • Sage 100 2025.1 (includes SPP provisioning)
      • SSCI (Anvyl) general availability
    • Q1 2026: Payroll updates + HR Integration (ESS)
    • Q2 2026: More payroll updates
    • FY26 (April 2026):
      • Full release of Sage 100 2026
      • New CoPilot tools
      • Additional product enhancements

A green compliance and legislation thread is visible throughout all releases, meaning Sage is actively tracking and integrating regulatory changes along the way.

📊 AR: Big Need, Big Fix

    • 47% of credit sales are paid late
    • Companies spend up to 15 days/month on manual AR
    • Sage Connect is being introduced to tackle this directly, replacing calls/emails with automation and visibility

    🚛 Supply Chain Intelligence

Built with Anvyl, this tool will give real-time purchasing and supplier collaboration insights-fully integrated with Sage 100. It's already being piloted in early adopter programs.

    🤖 Automation, AI, and Reporting

    • AP Automation with Purchasing: AI-driven invoice matching, transaction prep, and review flow
    • Sage Business Reporting: Real-time, Excel-based, template-driven financials
    • CoPilot: Evolving with Chat Assist → Embedded AI → Insights & Actions
    • These are planned features, but very much in motion-especially for FY26

Bottom line: The platform is moving forward with intention. The updates are thoughtful and based on community and partner feedback-and they're grounded in the way real businesses actually use Sage 100.  I have copies of the slides which I will upload soon!

If anyone wants more detail or wants to compare notes, I'm happy to share more.

    -Anne

Thanks for the update @Anne Sawyer.  Can someone conform the expect date of 2025 product update 1?  Anne per your notes below PU1 isn't expected to be released until 4th qtr 2025.  Is that Sage's fiscal 4th qtr or is that the 2025 calendar 4th qtr?

    • Q3 2025: Sage 100 2025.0
    • Q4 2025:
      • Sage 100 2025.1 (includes SPP provisioning)
      • SSCI (Anvyl) general availability

What are your observations regarding Sage 100 attendees?  Are they there specifically for Sage 100 or checking the car lot for other rides?

My impression was the audience was split. It was half partners and half customers. It's hard to say whether those customers are actual 100 customers but I would assume that is the case given that anyone that attended this session has some sort of 100 involvement or connection already.  Also because this is a road map session that lends itself to current customers.  Whether or not there are new customers that's a good question.....

@Jeff Schwenk I agree with Wayne's assessment.  The two players in the Sage 100 world are SPS Commerce and True Commerce.  SPS Commerce bought the MAP-A-DOC product from SWK several years ago.  When I started doing EDI in the mid 90's early 2000's I always recommended MAP-A-DOC.  Every trading partner had to have a map created for each document if it didn't already exist in the SWK library.  I did a lot of document mapping back then until I discovered True Commerce in about 2010.  True Commerce sold me on they would do all of the mapping so i converted everyone to True Commerce.  My opinion has changed after some recent True Commerce implementations that had slow service and incomplete or poor training.  Too many "consultants" and no one person to take responsibility for the project.  Today, I am back to recommending SPS.  SPS handles everything (unlike the old days of MAP-A-DOC) and an added benefit is SPS is the Sage endorsed solution, so you earn tier credit.  One disadvantage is the initial price is generally more expensive than True Commerce, however the overall value is better and a long-term better solution.

How many Sage 100 people are on the scene.  Any word on the new marketing person?

According to a LinkedIn post from Sage they had "over 3,000" customers and partners. Initially Sage projected " The event is expected to welcome 5,000 attendees "

Hi Wayne - I was given 4800 as a number last night. I can tell you most of the sponsors were pretty thrilled. They had huge teams here and still didn't have enough people in some cases.  I have more to report later.  But my impression is it was a very successful conference for them.
