If I had the budget for it, I'd go. But the primary thing holding me back isn't that - it's a lack of specificity.
I've been in the Sage ecosystem since 2013. When I originally was introduced, the one thing I thought Sage was better at was consistency - in their naming of events, the purpose of those events, and highly educating content. As a CRM guy of a Sage 100 partner, I remember thinking about how much I got from the events. That continued probably through 2016/2017 when "Sage Summit" was a thing. Sage has rebranded partner events so many times now that I can't say with any measure of confidence that this event would be worth my time. Yes, I'm planning to build a CRM integration between Sage Intacct and Creatio in the near future... but I've already got my path with that figured out. Aside from more cheerleading of enhancements and new features of Intacct, SDMO, or their most recent batch of acquisitions ... where is the value? I can't see that with any measure of clarity, and that's my primary reason for not going. Why spend $3k+ on travel, hotel, and registration only to learn what I need for free and a few hours of my time within 2-3 weeks following the event.
As for 90Minds participation... it depends on your appetite for investment.
If Sage Intacct partners and consultants are the direction we see as the next emphasis for growth (which is seems to be), then I could eventually see a concentrated focus to truly drive memberships and consultants to the community. It would require a strong plan for deployment internally and a crisp value pitch for the target audience, but I'd treat it as a massive membership drive and awareness campaign. This would be thousands of dollars in investment, but it could be mitigated from a cost perspective potentially (given our relationship with Sage). Especially if they know we're seeking to drive a similar community that uplifts their Intacct partner community as we do for the Sage 100 community.
If the appetite for investment is lower... I'd send a few board members (2-3) with very visible and specific goals and measurable outcomes that you want to achieve. Less of an investment, but still with a similar focus of raising awareness and incentivizing them to join in some capacity or another. Getting friendly consulting firms that are also part of any PAC for Sage would be a huge win. Especially if those same firms have resources to help stand up a vibrant Intacct community within 90 Minds.
Probably a bit of rambling, venting, and constructive feedback - but that's my $0.02.
