    Great news!

    In working with Sage, Anne Sawyer has helped secure an exclusive discount for 90 Minds Consultant/VAR members and their Sage 100 customers on Sage Future passes.  

     ..... We've received approval to issue a special 90 Minds registration code. The code may be used exclusively by 90 Minds Consultant/VAR partners directly and can also be shared with their Sage 100 customers. 

    A few key details to note:

      • All registrations using this code must be completed by March 20, as the code expires on that date.
      • The code 26SF90Minds is currently being set up in the system. - We are looking forward to reporting on how many Sage 100 partners and Sage 100 customers register as a result of this initiative. 
      • The code is to be entered on the payment page and the price adjustment will be made once entered before payment is processed.

    I know it's too late for this year but one thought I had on the trip home is that a good source of ideas for future Sage 100 related sessions could be taken from the Sage 100 Community ( https://communityhub.sage.com/us/sage100 ). This would at least give a realtime view of the popular topics people are asking about.  Here's a quick sample I created while on the plane.


    1. Bank Reconciliation: Clearing, Un-clearing, and Common Mistakes Forum: Core Financial Modules Signal: 4,600 views, 20 replies - highest engagement of any single thread across all forums reviewed.

    Every client touches bank rec. The sheer view count suggests this topic gets found via search repeatedly, meaning the pain is widespread and ongoing. A session could cover the full workflow, mistake prevention, and recovery steps. Strong candidate for a packed room.


    2. Sage Intelligence: Getting It Working, Common Errors, and Auto-Email Distribution Forums: Reporting and Analytics + Customization and Productivity Signal: Auto Email Report thread - 1,100 views, 6 replies; No Report Distribution Options - 1,600 views, 12 replies; Invalid Procedure Call error - 869 views, 4 replies; Sage Intelligence error in Customization forum - 290 views, 8 replies

    The same frustrations appear in two separate forums. Users want Sage Intelligence to actually work and to distribute reports automatically. I think combining setup, troubleshooting, and distribution into one session would draw a broad audience - accounting and IT both.


    3. Inventory Costing: Average Cost Problems, FIFO Tier Cleanup, and Negative Costs Forums: General Discussion + Distribution/Manufacturing Signal: Inventory Cost Detail out of whack - 704 views; What causes negative average costs - 718 views, 4 replies; Zero quantity FIFO cost tier with value - 291 views, 8 replies

    Three distinct threads, all circling the same root issue. This is one of the most escalated client problems in practice and consistently generates multi-person discussion. A full 60-minute session on costing corrections would be valuable.


    4. Reporting Tool Selection: Crystal Reports vs. Sage Intelligence vs. Custom Report Creator Forum: Reporting and Analytics + Technical Signal: Crystal Reports 2020 with Sage 2024 - unable to join tables - 1,000 views, 26 replies; Custom Report Creator - 330 views, 5 replies; VBS Report Export to Excel - 364 views, 13 replies

    The 26-reply Crystal Reports thread is one of the highest reply counts found across all forums. People are stuck. A session framing which tool to use when - and what each one can and can't do - addresses a real gap.


    5. Custom Office Fundamentals: UDFs, UDTs, Scripts, and Panel Customization Forum: Customization and Productivity Signal: AR Header UDF sourced from Credit Memo - 178 views, 3 replies; Script timeout pop up on server - 205 views, 5 replies; VI Export for orders invoiced today - 303 views, 6 replies; combined with broader UDF/script threads across multiple years showing persistent demand.

    This forum has 3,000 topics and 13,000 replies - the most active forum on the site. The recurring themes are UDF setup, scripting basics, and why customizations break. Just a thought: this might work as two sessions - a true beginner track (what is a UDF, how do you add one) and a practical scripting track for intermediate users.


    6. Salesperson Commissions: Setup, Reporting, and Common Gotchas Forum: Core Financial Modules Signal: Salesperson Commission Report - 688 views, 17 replies

    17 replies is notable. The standard commission report rarely does what users expect, and setup has multiple overlapping options that conflict. This draws both accounting and sales management staff.


    7. Visual Integrator: Practical Imports, Exports, and Error Troubleshooting Forums: Technical + Customization + Distribution Signal: Override Unit of Measure in VI - 943 views; Ebiz and VI import - 531 views; VI Export for orders invoiced today - 303 views, 6 replies; Error importing routings via VI - 294 views, 9 replies

    VI appears in three separate forums. End users want to know what it can do, how to structure imports, and why jobs fail. A hands-on lab format would likely work better than a lecture here.


    8. Item Kits: Setup, Shipping, and Inventory Relief Forum: Customization and Productivity Signal: Sage 100 - Creating Item Kits - 351 views, 8 replies; Shipping Data Entry Packages with kits - 158 views, 2 replies; discussion included multiple users clarifying kit type, valuation, and component explosion behavior

    Kits are more complex than they appear. The thread shows users confused about kit type, valuation method, component explosion, and how shipping interacts with kit components. Good material for a practical session with demo.


    9. Security and Permissions: Role Configuration and User Access Best Practices Forums: Core Financial + Technical Signal: Permission to post AP invoices - 292 views, 13 replies; Auto logoff timeout - 1,800 views, 7 replies

    Security questions come up constantly and span both functional roles and system administration. Combining role-level permissions with common workstation/server behavior issues makes for a full session.


    10. Customer Pricing: Price Levels, Product Line Pricing, and Why It Breaks Forum: Customization and Productivity Signal: Having trouble with customer pricing - user trying to configure 23% markup via Customer Price Level Maintenance at the product line level, not pricing correctly; 151 views

    Customer pricing is one of the most underused and most misunderstood areas of Sage 100. The forum thread shows a user following seemingly correct steps with incorrect results. A session walking through all pricing methods - price levels, customer-specific, product line, contract pricing - would fill a real gap.


    11. Inventory Management: Multiple Warehouses, Item Renumbering, and Master POs Forum: General Discussion + Distribution Signal: Master PO - 795 views, 5 replies; Large Number of Items to Renumber - 198 views, 5 replies; Inventory warehouses - 303 views, 8 replies

    Three threads with sustained engagement. The Master PO thread specifically has high views relative to replies, suggesting it gets found via organic search - a sign the question is common even if people don't comment.


    12. Payment Processing: Paya Integration and Third-Party Alternatives Forum: Core Financial + General Discussion Signal: Paya credit card payment not applied to invoice - 406 views, 6 replies; payment management software - 80 views, 1 reply

    Paya-specific issues keep recurring. A session covering native Sage credit card processing, known failure modes, and third-party alternatives would attract any client handling card transactions.

    Wayne hit on some subjects that could very well draw Sage 100 customers to this event. I think you should think of his "agenda" as a "gateway drug" to draw in the most engaged Sage 100 customers to a venue that will ALSO talk with them about the larger future you want them to hear. 

    Drawing them this way will also put them in conversations with other engaged S100 users who have similar concerns and curiosity. (You must assume that all S100 customers who attend have heard the rumors about S100 "imminent demise." 

    Sage sort of wants these customers to meet where Sage is at. In marketing, success is only when you meet where the customers are at. Bring them to SF on their turf and then broaden their awareness.

    I don't want to share any trade secrets ... my 🤷‍♂️NDA is probably expired by now anyhow... but 90 Minds found nearly all their initial members from the online community. 

    Back then I believe it was branded as SageTalk (?).

    Users who are engaged online tend to also make very good active members willing to share information. Leverage that Sage Community for ideas and speakers for Future 2027.

    Annette-thank you for helping make this happen. This is a big step forward for our community, and I'm really excited to see how many of our Sage 100 partners and customers take advantage of it.  Please note the discount deadline is today!
