If I have a customer on the Sage Fixed Assets 2016.1 do I have to go through every interim upgrade version or can I go right to 2019.1? I seem to recall that s of a certain version you could skip all the interim upgrades. I just don't recall what version that was.

I found this online in the KB which seems to indicate that we can make a direct upgrade from 2016.1 - the KB deals with an error message on conversion but reading it seems to imply that so long as I'm on 2016.1, 2017.1 or 2018.1 that I can go right to 2019.1

For 2019.1: Incompatible Version: This status indicates that the database cannot be converted because it has not yet been converted to version 2016.1, 2017.1 or 2018.1

Note: Databases from 2012.1 and prior will appears with a Conversion Status of Incompatible Version and will require a PSG engagement to update.

Wayne, I have had that error and I called Sage Fixed Assets support and we worked through it without ever upgrading to every version along the way.  For what it's worth.

one method I've used. Backup the previous database from the earlier version.  install 2018.1 and restore to it.  Then install 2019.1.
