    I'm curious if anyone has sold or implemented SD&A (ZAP). Is this getting any traction in the Sage 100 community?

    @John Hoyt.

    I am demoing it next week to a client.  My 64K question is how do this differ from SEI?

    Not sure about that as I haven't had much exposure to SEI, but below is Sage's high-level summary. SD&A looks like a great BI tool, just wondering if it is getting any traction.

    • Sage Data & Analytics is a powerful, out-of-the-box multi-stream BI and analytics solution that delivers actionable financial and operational reporting.
    • Sage Enterprise Intelligence (SEI) is available for customers looking for a business intelligence and data management solution. SEI empowers all users with a simple interface to access and analyze data in a self-sufficient manner and eliminates the need for disparate tools and specialized skills.

    High Level summary is an understatement @Eric Anderson.    Sounds like a typical help text blurb........  The summaries paint an identical abstract picture.

    Hey Eric - we went through the ZAP classes (and there are quite a few of them) and determined it is just not the product for the majority of our client base.  Our Excel and Financial Statement guru said she really didn't think any of our clients could use it without having us write all of the reports for the client.  And I think it's the case of not enough volume to keep her educated about how to write the reports when it is 6 months to a year between sales.  The marketing says it is easy - and if she doesn't want to do it - it isn't!

    We are completing the implementation of a Sage 300 SD&A Premium Bundle, it has been very smooth, and the customer is happy. They have 8 companies, thus Premium. I was not the consultant, but have been involved. Of course, it is way better than SI and we prefer it over SEI. Yes, we built all the reports, but we usually do that also with SI.

    This is one of those investments where the customer has to understand the value to them, and this customer does.
