Sage Customer Symposium. I remember going to one of these with @BrettZimmerman and/or @MikeFitzgerald up in the Boston area. It was similar to a mini-Summit. They even brought in a keynote speaker for lunch. I don't remember the attendance being very high (or very low) -- maybe 200ish people with a decent number of partners.

@WayneSchulz the customer event we did was our own, though we generally leveraged sage resources. Did it annually for about 10 yrs and would get 100-200 attendees. The event in your posting appears to be from sage direct, though I could be wrong. Smells like a sales event and I suspect most existing users may sense that. We tried hard to make out sessions educational with a subliminal sales tone.

The one I went to was a Sage sponsored event. I'm pretty sure they also called it a symposium. I remember you introduced me to Jim Ward of Brainsell. Maybe the Nina era? Not entirely sure.

These Symposiums are being coordinated by Diana Waterman who, generally speaking, has done very good work. I think they are going to be designed as informational sessions to ""get the message out"". If you have specific feedback or concerns, let her know (or let me know and I will bring it up as from an anonymous source if you choose).

I was talking about the Houston event with Rick Burtt yesterday. They've done, I think, 4 so far. The 1st 3 were disappointing in turnout, mainly because the marketing and prep process was poor. The last one was in Dallas, and 65 customers showed up. Rick said this was because they finally got the details of the invitation process right. I got the sense from him that the focus is more than cross-sell: proactively keeping current customers from leaving Sage through ignorance of Sage products they could grow into.

@Jerry is right as we were one of the VARs who was asked to sponsor the one in Atlanta. Very poorly attended because of lack of preparation time, but not really a bad concept. Alchamex, SPS, Avalara and a couple of other speakers were giving information in a soft sell kind of a fashion. The SPS guy was probably most instructional to the group.

Isn't there one coming up in Irvine? I saw a post on Avalara's LinkedIn group about them being there.

I just got a call from my CAM/RAM/{insert this week's acronym here} that there is one coming up in Atlanta January 17.
