    Sage CRM 7.2b - the IT dept supposedly created an external link for accessing CRM from outside their network which they say tests fine. I test it, enter xyzDOMAIN\username and password and the attached screen displays. Google search is providing background info. that looks like I need to change/edit something on the CRM server. Anyone else seen this?

    We have our internal CRM 7.2b working fine for external access. I have no idea how it's done, though, but don't remember any of these issues. I always am concerned when I see the words ""the IT dept supposedly created an external link . . . "" I know I don't win popularity contests with IT people, but I would refer it back to them first. :-)

    that is an Exchange web services url, not Sage CRM. For ours, I set up port forwarding in the router that translates ""external url:external port"" to ""internal url:internal port

    @JohnHoyt - have referred it back to IT several times. The kicker is that this customer actually publishes a SQL software application and you'd think their IT staff would be a bit more...experienced. @PhilMcIntosh that may be the crux of the issue it was in my original instructions to IT to setup port forwarding and they might have missed it.

    Just a follow-up - after resending the 3 options to set up external access, IT read the document and created an https URL. I guess third try's the charm.
