    Sage CRM 6.2 with MAS 90 4.4. Launch CRM in Firefox to get around Sage hiding the merge company feature in Sage CRM. Customer has done many mergers this way in the past, but the current one just does not do the merge. Click on the Merge button, select the company to merge into the one on screen, click Save. No error message, but the companies are still separate. Any ideas?

    Does this work properly in IE? I don't believe Firefox or Chrome work 100% with 6.2. I had a customer who had similar issues, went to IE and no longer an issue. May have to be IE 8 or 9.

    Sage has code that blocks the merge feature in integrated CRM, but the button does show up in Firefox as the suppression code is IE only. The merge has worked in Firefox up to now.

    It's unintentional that it works and it's not supported. Haven't we been down this road already? Brain hurts ... rebelling against Monday.

    Yes, but do you have any idea why it might have stopped working? If it was a standalone 6.2 what would the next troubleshooting step be?

    Were any patches installed to Firefox? To CRM? When did it stop working? Is it only not working for this particular merge? Try merging two other records - does it work?

    It worked the week before, no patches applied to anything since then. They don't have any other merges to test another one at the moment. Nothing in any of the logs about any errors.

    Create two companies. Merge them to test.

    Ok ... so ... we know it's not a system problem per se - it's a data issue. Something about those other two companies are creating a problem. Maybe it's the linked sub-entity records (addresses, phones, cases, oppos, etc.)? Maybe it's particular data in fields on the company entity?

    The one to be merged does have 79 people and 546 opportunities. The one it is to be merged into had another company merged into it last week and that worked. The company data fields all look normal. There is one person who appears to be duplicated, but with two separate Pers_personID values.

    Well, I tried it in Chrome and the merge worked...WTF
