Sage CRM

Sage recently announced the new 2019 R1 release for Sage CRM and it's worth noting a few things from a Sage channel perspective:

1. Yes, this is proof that Sage CRM is still alive and (mostly) well! I've heard through the rumor mill that there will be a three-year roadmap available soon. 
2. This release is mostly a whole bunch of much-needed bug fixes and some security fixes.
3. We don't recommend R1 release for ANY software product (I'm sure many of you are the same). In this case, if a customer has a bug that is fixed, it might be worth upgrading to this version. Based on the new features, it doesn't see like the core system will be destabilized (which is typically the concern with R1 releases).

If you have customers on older versions of Sage CRM (pre-2017), you should discuss the latest version with them. The interface has changed nicely over the last few years and it's clean and intuitive. Worth considering at least.
