Sage Business Intelligence Replaced FRx License for license I vaguely remember when Sage Business Intelligence was introduced, if you had say 3 FRx licenses you got 3 Sage Report Manager licenses. When installing BI for a customer that had 3 FRx licenses, the license Sage provided is for only one Report Manager. Sage Sales has no documentation on that program from that far back. Do any of you have any recollection of the replacement program?

I thought they received a report manager license that was equal to the number of FRx licenses owned.

That's what I remember also but Sage says they have no record of that offer. I was hoping that one of the 90Minds members would either have a copy of the notice or have a customer with more than one license of FRx who got more than one license of Report Manager.

Of course, everyone from last year and beyond are gone!!!!!! I am sure someone will look into their way back machine and come to the rescue.....

You are remembering correctly. Can't put my hands on any documentation but clients got a report manager license for each frx license. And viewer licenses for frx viewers.

@JaneCavanaugh has a good document. I've been searching my archives and can't find anything better. I will tell you that I upgraded two multi-user FRx customers in 2011 under this program. Gina Thompson in support may remember.

I remember it as a max of 4 managers though regardless of # FRx licenses.

We have a client that received multiple Report Managers and Viewers based on the FRx licensing and were not using SI until we got them as a client.

Good luck since they have likely been off maintenance on FRX for over 5 years.

I would go with Jane's document as the basis for requesting FRX trade in. I can say from experience often times the order desk makes up policy as they go and that most at Sage rely on the order desk to know what the policy is/was. I think Gina is a good resource. Sage is stupid not to continue offering this promo and to put a stake in the ground and take as much land for SI as possible. Once customers choose a reporting solution they tend now to want to move because of the sunk time in creating the reports. I told Sage as much at MOTM but I don't think I was talking to the right people. Deer in the headlights from Sage..
