  • 1.  Sage Alerts & Workflow - Pending Application Events

    Hi there - I'm not sure how many people use/support SAW but this issue has consumed my week and I'm hoping someone knows this. I have a SAW version 10 pending application event that I can't delete. It just stays pending and won't let the event run again. It only appears on the Pending tab, not the error or triggered tabs. All of the KB articles point towards using the "Administrator Module" but I don't think that exists in v10 anymore because I can't find any of the other steps like "database tools". Our SAW certified person is out on vacation and Vineyardsoft won't help me as I'm not the certified consultant. Does anyone know how to remove pending things in v10? Thanks so much!

    I had a very similar issue last night on V9.  I ended up rebooting the server (a couple of times) that worked for me (or was it just coincidence).

    You could try ending the service(s). I've used that before but not in v10.

    If something has been scheduled it will show in the pending. If the application is not running (check with the KnowledgeSync Service icon) and the status shows Windows Service is stopped then it will just sit in the pending. If you have other alerts that do go through then there is something wrong with that specific alert. If none of them are then it is more than likely that this service is stopped. You are able to see it on the web but it doesn't process it. 

    You can look for specific modules on this screen too and stop and start module Scheduler and others.

    Thank you so much @Jeff Schwenk, @Therese Logeais and @Todd Martin ! The issue was resolved by some combination of stopping everything I could through the Monitor >Activity and then restarting it. Stopping just the email or application module didn't seem to be enough, so I stopped everything but the main service. That finally cleared the pending email and let the alert go through the next time it ran. Thank you for the help!
