  • 1.  Sage Alerts Error Running Event

    I have a new install of Sage Alerts on a Parallels client and am unable to run any event, either the canned events provided or a new event from scratch.  I do have a case open with ECI but am waiting to hear from them.  The queries do return data in the Preview but when running the event, I get an error -2146233088 in the Event Monitor.  When googling the error, it seems like some kind of Windows related issue but could not find anything that applies to Sage Alerts and my situation specifically. Didn't find anything on the Sage KB nor in this community.  Has anyone seen this before?  Thank you!

    Hi Dawn,

    I would start with checking to see if the email has been set up correctly and you can send a test email from Sage Alerts.  I would send it from whatever email address you have set up to an outside domain email (e.g.: from user@company.com to dawnd@gmail.com)

    Hmm, it's probably due to the environment if nothing will run and the test email is successful. 
    Are you using the KLF to link the tables to an access database?  I don't think this would be the issue since you can get results from the preview.

    I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling and that resolved the issue.  Never did hear back from support. Thanks!
