From a practical perspective, it's really hard to run a marketing campaign with more than 3 branches. If I were them and prioritizing, I'd probably come the same decision they did. That said, a lot depends on how those microsites are structured to deal with people who get there and find that Sage 50 is too small, and X3 is way too big for them. We'll see.

One thing that should be noted is that Sage seems to be staggering the product re-brandings. I believe Sage 100 gets rebranded officially around November 2012

So you have to change your website in 60 days, but sage doesn't announce it to the world until November?? Well, I always bitched that sage never marketed any products, just their brand. We got our wish....And unfortunately, you now know that the solution you support is officially 'legacy' and not going anywhere if they aren't willing to put a dime into advertising it. If you are seriously loyal to Sage I suggest you bone up on your French so you can master X3 and its underlying data tables. If not, time to look at some alteratives...

Good observation - I think Sage may be doing some preliminary announcements and I am not positive but the web changes may not need to be made until November 2012. The next issue I expect to hear from Sage is about blog entries. They already have indicated that blog posts don't need to be re-written. My guess is that the next thing they change their mind on will be that. I've attempted to change as many occurrences of MAS90 as I can find.

Frahmann has a good explanation of why they structured the campaign they way they did. FWIW, I've been impressed with Dennis' work over the past 12 months; he turned me 180 deg on my attitude to how and why they're doing this whole thing. As long as they actually continue appropriate advertising through next year, I can see where this makes sense. Of course, as Wayne pointed out, it might still be shuffling, but that's another issue. http://www.linkedin.com/groupItem?view=&gid=3849911&type=member&item=115704266&commentID=80902135&report%2Esuccess=8ULbKyXO6NDvmoK7o030UNOYGZKrvdhBhypZ_w8EpQrrQI-BBjkmxwkEOwBjLE28YyDIxcyEO7_TA_giuRN#commentID_80902135
