Sage 300

Sage 300 5.6, GL AP AR UP - database is now up to 80GB with about 10 years of history in it. Is there a way to (after backing up and restoring to a new company code to keep the history) to remove all the transaction detail prior to a certain date?

Phil, if I understand you correctly, you have created a historical company for reporting, analysis, etc.. and you then want to remove some of the history from the production company. You cna do this by using the Period End Maintenance and selecting Delete Fiscal Set History and Delete Transaction Detail History. You probably will need to change the Keep Years if Fiscal Sets and Transaction Detail before you run the Period End Maintenance.
