    Sage 300 2014. Unable to post GL batches, and apparently can't change batch status to ready to Post. rebuilt indexes, no change. In SQL Manager if you try to edit records in GLBCTL you can change any field except the status. If you try to edit that field SQL hangs. We have rebooted the servers twice. 40 user system trying to get year end stuff done...

    deactivated indexes on GLBCTL and we were able to change status in SQL Manager, but posting or deleting from the UI still hang...

    I just manged to get a couple of batches to post, but I had to set the ready to Post in SQL Manager and the post from the Post batches screen by selecting the individual batch there - it wouldn't set the ready to post from the batch list. I can now replicate that having the batch list open keeps the ready to post flag from begin set in SQL manager and as soon as I close the batch list the query in SQL Manager completes. I then was able to Post the batch in the post batches program.
