  • 1.  Sage 2019 - The email service is not installed

    When trying to test the email on a Sage 100 2019 Standard - I'm seeing an error "The E-Mail Service is not installed".

    Anyone seen this? 
    Is this an indication of a problem with the customer's email service or is it on the Sage side?

    If you don't get the Sage error pop-up with red text, I'd suspect that the Chillkat drivers were not properly installed during workstation setup.

    I think this may have been something to do with the customer's email server. They seem to have gotten it working. Perhaps they had to enable SMTP or something similar.

    Sometimes when I experience e-mail problems inside Sage, I'll try my personal e-mail credentials just to quickly try to isolate the issue.

    I saw this before when trying to test email a second time in Company Maintenance. I had to close and re-open the task to continue testing. I also found for that particular customer that I had to use port 25 and TLS for Office365 email instead of port 587.
