Sage 100c MONTHLY Subscription increased at annual renewal time (that's confusing) I had a customer that migrated to 100c from perpetual last year, and their monthly subscription was ~$589. They called me in a panic yesterday because their monthly subscription increased to ~$907. For those keeping score that is *only* a 54% increase. I informed my business care manager (Holly Coates) who quickly identified the issue. There is a line entry in Sage's system titled ""Sage 100c Migration Credit Annual"" that was removed from the subscription. The customer is getting their money back, but the new monthly subscription is ~$648. Yes, conveniently the maximum 10% increase allowed per the EULA. I suspect this will be the norm going forward for this customer (and quite honestly, all customers). For those on perpetual, I have no doubt in my mind that the increases will be even greater until the 100c subscription is less than the perpetual business care plan. I am sharing this for two reasons. First, I enjoy sharing Sage misery with all of my wonderful peers that I have grown to love dearly. (No, really, I do!) Second, my fear is this may be a system wide issue that we will all be dealing with over the next few weeks. Happy Friday!!!

Sage already had announced those receiving a discount on conversion would receive the max 10%. The tradeoff would have been staying with 100 perpetual which at the same time was announced to be a 15% increase. What I find odd is August renewals were the first renewals in some time on perpetual licensing that was unchanged from the prior year. Not sure if that was in error because the norm the last couple years was 3% increase each year.

Thanks for sharing. Since the reseller is NOT in the renewal loop for subscription renewals, it is imperative that the client be vigilant to this ""**oversight**""!!!

I only have 6 customers remaining that are on current perpetual maintenance, and for the most part we have very little active contact with them. They have chosen not to want to understand the implications of the subscription products and the numbers going forward. I am making one last attempt in the next 2 weeks to take that number down to 3. The reality is, if less than 3% - 5% of the customers who are current are still on perpetual, then after 2 years of providing ""deals"" to upgrade, Sage will probably not be very sympathetic to those. The mistake Sage made on this was to not simply tell all perpetual customers they are now on subscription as of their next renewal.

Maybe they could find a company that produces software that could make something to handle their billing.

@RobertWood You mean a software company like the one that's responsible for the Partner Portal?
