What good is the gold plan if you are kicked back to a reseller??

Sorry, I was not clear. They are looking to add the service.

I have heard very little feedback both from Sage and from partners. That's what I'd likely share with the end user and i would be careful not to be seen as the recommender but more as a resource.

Yup, already set that in place and indicated it is a fairly new solution. The primary payroll person left the company. The company depends solely on Sage. I get my portion of the renewal and nothing else. The in house expert only calls me in a emergency situation. The expert/payroll person has now left the company and working as a consultant and the client has not moved from 2013 and concerned about year end. Solution: Move to an unknown payroll service before year end so that company can process W2s and other required reporting.

From what I recall -- there is a referral form to submit and Sage works the sales process. SPRinquiries@sage.com 866-302-5097 Our renewal rep, Bryan, is moving to Payroll services on 12/1, I'll see what his role will entail and if he'd be able to assist you. He was great getting us answers and navigating around Sage.

We have 2 customers on the service. Sage sells it, so you just call SPR and they do the review and sale. Not much required in terms of implementation either. GL integration works fine, but to date there is no BR integration.

@JohnHoyt do partners still only earn a one-time spiff on this? Or has that changed any in the last year?

I am not sure about the spiff or any other credit. Our account has still not been updated or corrected for 9/30/2016. Sad.

Update on Sage Payroll Services referral fees and tier: We now have a mailing from our assigned representative (Chris Cunningham) and he sent a number of documents, including the Sage Business Partner Referral Plan, which includes an initial 20% referral fee and 50% tier. I sent a response e-mail and copied 6 Sage sales management people (2 at Sage Payroll, and 4 in ERP), explaining that we had referred 2 current users, so when are we getting our referral fee and tier. Of course, I know everyone at Sage understands my challenges with tier since Quarter 4, so they need to jump right on this. [Update on tier postings in general - recovered most of the 9/30 items, but still owed $18K on 12/31 sales. We should have been Platinum by 12/31.]

It has now been 11 days since I e-mailed Chris Cunningham and copied Jeff Ard (Sage Payroll Manager), Robert Digby (Sage Payroll VP), Scott Ehmen, Dianna Lane, Rob Larsh and Kerry Gardner about not having received tier or margin on our 2 customers using their product. I'm sure Kerry and I discussed it, but ZERO communication from any of the others, and ALL of them know me. In fact, Chris Cunningham sent the same mailing on 1/20 that he previously sent to me without a mention of my e-mail. All I can say at this point is: WOW! This is the kind of company that would pass on sales opportunities because they have to be at a meeting.

I was talking to Sage Payroll just now and he mentioned they were running all the December numbers now to pay commissions in March. FWIW.

That float from unpaid commissions must help the stock price. I doubt it's even classified as an accrued liability, because they don't have a clue what it is.

**A** year, @JeffSchwenk . Why do you have to hold their feet to the fire? @JohnHoyt You think there's a CPA there? If so, they should stick them in support for a few days.
