Sage 100 will not open after migrating from 2014 to 2016.
Hopefully this will save some of you from days of diagnostics. We were attempting to upgrade my customer from 2014 to 2016. Migration went well with no errors. Upon trying to open Sage 100 to convert the data, Sage would not open. Nothing - no screen flash, nothing. Upon clicking the icon again, we get a desktop already started message.
The existing customer's Sage 100 2014 is working fine. Something happens when we migrate the data. We started replacing the Home, Launcher and MAS_System folders. We found the problem was with the MAS_System folder. By replacing the sy_SagePEPTask.m4t from a working system, Sage 100 opens as expected.
