    Is there a comparison sheet of Sage 100 vs. Sage Intacct?  Anyone supporting both that can give me some insight on the differences?  I attended the 90 Minds webinar when Sage acquired Intacct, but that has been a while.

    Hi Michael

     

    I am supporting both and it has been a fun journey so far.

     

    There is not a comparison document.

     

    Sage Intacct is of course cloud-based and browser-based.

     

    It is very, very strong at accounting and designing workflows for the accounting processes.

    It has a lot to be desired for distribution but...they have a whole team dedicated to making it a stronger distribution product.

    If it's a GLAPAR or in an industry where strong core financials are the primary concern then ATM it's Intacct in the lead.

    In an industry where DIST,  MFG or BOM or JC then ATM it's Sage 100

    Intacct has been talking about distribution for many years. I'm sure it's a very high priority for them. They are also pushing hard to get Intacct out of the United States so they have a lot on their plate development-wise. ScanForce has announced integration of their product to Intacct but I don't know what the level of functionality is.

    My WAG is that within 18 months you'll hear much more about Sage's plans for Intacct. Recall that they paid almost $1 billion for the company and I don't think they are content to sit and have it remain largely a GLAPAR play.

    Ruth Menter gave a wonderful presentation to the 90 Minds membership on Sage Intacct very soon after Sage purchased the firm.  Attached are the webinar recording and PowerPoint deck.  Some of this information may have changed a little since Sage took over, but Ruth's presentation was very informative and from the resellers perspective as opposed to the publishers.

    Thank you all for this information, it is very helpful and @Jim Woodhead for your very prompt call.  Since Intacct is currently not strong for inventory, then it is not a good fit for the client inquiring.
