Sage 100 v 2016 Advanced Trying to reinstall a workstation and received this error 1234 - also comes up when I run an uninstall. All I'm trying to fix is the ""no access"" that was entered by IT on this workstation install.

Are you able to open the sota.ini file and verify the correct server path?

Did, it looked fine on the workstation, right or did you mean the server? The share was setup under on IT group and a new IT group has since taken over...sigh.

Just a thought for troubleshooting, uninstall and re-install the workstation using the IP address of the server not the server name in the UNC path, do you get the same message?

The fact that it says the path contains an invalid character is troubling... can you copy the path out of the sota.ini file and paste it in file explorer to see if you get to the correct destination? Possibly an invisible character in the path?

New IT group updated my permissions so this may be mote (so permissions weren't correct before it seems). Great suggestions @JimSteele and @RandyMarion I'll test both of those. Scheduled to work on this again noon PT. I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

Path was accessible from Explorer, didn't try the uninstall and reinstall via server IP. Completed uninstall, reboot, reinstall and never had an error. Most likely IT updating my permissions took care of it. The only odd thing I see now are screen resolution issues, like attached, that go away, temporarily, when active screen it resized, but return when screen is closed an reopened. Could be the TeamViewer they have me use for remote access.

@MoiraGoggin that is from teamviewer (weird screens) sometimes when using it you can not even click to other tabs, have to use shortcut keys to maneuver.
