Sage 100

Sage 100 tracking component serial numbers. Customer needs to track which serialized component went in which serialized finished good. From what I can tell that piece of information is not tracked when more than one serialized finished good is produced at a time. The starting component serial number is recorded. Solutions?

How are they made? BOM transactions, WO? I would hazard a guess that you have to extract the data from BOM or WO history. Not easy to do, especially if multi level

Each finished good could be entered with a quantity of one (in BOM production entry) and the serial number information from the components along with it. If they use WO then they would need a separate order for each finished good, a big pain if they run large quantities but the only way I know of to get that level of detail.

Unfortunately their volume would make it impractical for one at a time WO completions or Production entries. There may be an extended solution WO-1030 that has promise.
