Sage 100 Std v44 VI import into Time Card - Client has Timesheets for time reporting and has been importing for five years. They recently added a dash to their JC #'s (WOO-D). When importing, the ""-D"" is dropped from the import. The job does not error out as there is a valid ""WOO"" job so it imports as WOO, not WOO-D. Import file is a csv, not tab delimited. Does anyone have any thoughts on the problem and perhaps a solution? Thanks in advance.

No quotes around it, do you think it's treating like a number? Could try the import with quotes on the job number?

Good point @MoiraGoggin. The line looks completely different from the one above. Why did this line not export with quotes @JeffSchwenk ?

Its probably something to do with Sub Jobs. If you activate sub jobs sage adds a dash to the Job Number.

Got an actual copy of the csv file, viewed it in notepad. there are no quotes anywhere. Not sure why my example has them. Now I will investigate @KennyDaniel comment tomorrow AM. maybe if they start using WOO_D, it will import.

Not 100% sure now. It was supposed to have been note pad.

Jeff - Is this still an issue? I am curious about the actual V/I job definition regarding this field - is it a simple assignment or is there more to it?

The field is a replace. I am sure there is more to it.
