  • 1.  SAGE 100 STD v2023 WS client install hangs...

    Monday, I visited a client that has 4 computers (2 laptops & 2 desktops) all running Windows 10 Pro.  I upgraded SAGE from v2017 to v2023 no issues. I was able to run the workstation client install on the 2 laptops and one desktop. On the second desktop the install points out that .Net Framework 4.8 will require a reboot. .Net Framework 4.8 seems to extract and install, but the reboot message doesn't reboot the computer. I then manually reboot and restart the WS client install. It wants to install .Net Framework 4.8 again. Rinse & repeat.  Outside IT have run the Microsoft .Net Repair tool and said that it IS installed on this machine. They have disabled ThreatLocker and SentinelOne AV.  Any ideas??

    If it doesn't work even after you re-install .NET, run the .msi instead of the .exe in the wksetup folder.  .msi bypasses the prerequisites.

    Thank you @Kevin Moyes and @Doug Higgs for your suggestions. It looks like the reason that WS Client v2023 had a problem was because ThreatLocker does not allow regular Windows Updates, this computer was way behind in its Windows 10 updates. It took almost 20 hours (low speed internet) for the outside IT guy to download and install the Windows 10 updates. The regular WS Client install was sucessful.

    Hopefully, the updates are being allowed now as well
