Michael - For both logs, the 1st error in the series of the 3 consecutive errors is the root error, meaning it causes the next 2 errors (which are a red herring). See below and get IT involved again. You can see this is not a Sage issue. Also note what I said about point 4 above. They (or you if you're comfortable) can do #4 as an easy starting point for troubleshooting.
Event 1005, Application Error

Thank you @Alnoor Cassim. I viewed the Win 11 Event Log and found that every time this Win 11 workstation had an Input/Output error or other type of error while running SAGE 100 STD, they all started like this: 1).NET Runtime, followed by 2) Application Error and 3) Application Error. @Jeff Schwenk recommended that I check this workstation to make sure that .NET 3.5 was properly installed and active. I believe that .Net 3.5 is installed and active on this Win 11 workstation. Maybe there is an updated version available? I do not possess IT skills. I have attached details of this Win 11 Event Log.

Michael to answer your question:
1. As you said, review the Event Viewer logs for the same day/time as the error 278. Click Start, then start typing "event viewer" and it will appear, or you can do Windows + R and type eventvwr.msc at the Run prompt. Then look at the Windows Logs and the Application and Services Logs categories.
2. For any error over 256, you take the error number and subtract 256 to come up with, in this case, "operating system error code 12". So put that in your favorite AI prompt or google it.
3. Error 278 is in the Sage KB but it just tells you to rebuild sort files for P/R in this case, FWIW.
4. I might've seen this error on Standard (Mas90) version a decade ago. I have a vague memory that I changed their Sage icon / shortcut to use a mapped drive from a UNC path (both the Target and Start In fields).
Hope that helps!

Followed the steps in the SAGE KB and renamed SY_Console.M4T, SY_ActivityLog.M4T and SY_Workstation.M4T files. Followed @Jeff Schwenk advice and made sure .Net 3.5 was active on the troublesome Win 11 workstation. Thought the issue was fixed because user went for four whole workdays before the SAGE System Activity Log recorded another Input/Output Error on Friday (6/6) morning around 10:00am. Then the next Tuesday (6/10) around 10:00am another on Friday (6/13) around 10:00 am. Is this a pattern? Finally last Friday (6/20) user reported not an Input/Output Error, but an Error 278 SY_Session.pvc while accessing the Payroll module at 2:30 in the afternoon. Is there a Win 11 event log that I can look at to see if this troublesome workstation is having network connectivity issues? The two other (less used) SAGE 100 workstations are not experiencing these errors. TIA for your ideas.

Thank you @Doug Higgs for sharing this SAGE Technical Article. I will rename the SY_Console.M4T, SY_ActivityLog.M4T and SY_Workstation.M4T files Monday evening after all users go home.

According to the attached article renaming SY_Console.M4T, SY_Activitylog.M4T and SY_Workstation.M4T files may help.
