    Does anyone know the name of the file in SAGE 100 STD - EDIT: v2017 (5.40) Product Update #5 - that holds the subscription license key/expiration dates?  Can that file be copied into a SAGE 100 STD installation from a backup/test installation?  I have a client that just renewed their SAGE 100 Payroll subscription. They are having trouble updating the license/key in their SAGE 100 system on their server. I was able to download and update the license/key in a backup/test installation on a stand-alone computer. Can I copy a file from the backup/test installation into the "live" system to update the SAGE 100 Payroll Expiration date?

    The registration fields are stored in SY_System table. There is encrypted fields in there so copying that table from a backup may not work if the encryption key doesn't match in both systems.

     

    I had a user that was running advanced version and the Premium Key was pulled into their live install by mistake and then they could not even launch Sage 100 so I was able to edit their Product Key and Registration Key by copying table SY_System to my local workstation and editing it through DFDM and put it back on their server.
