In this instance, the customer is using Payroll in 2016 without a payroll subscription. So there may be something there.
Q: How could they use TC without a Payroll subscription?
A: They use Timecard and a payroll subscription was not required in 2016 for TC to access the employee data. If they wanted to go into employee maintenance to make changes ( or do much of anything in Payroll )
then a subscription would be required. Without a subscription, they were also able to use VI to employee master to set up or change random employee data. Crystal Reporting also worked.
