    Sage 100 standard 4.4.5 getting 'Account balances cannot be recalculated while period posting history is in use' even though in Server Storage Management no files are open for this company. Any recommendations? TIA

    Sounds like a server reboot might be in order.

    Thanks Brett! I was hoping not as there are many users in different locations. Last time this happened a reboot didn't work and we had to cold boot to get it to work.

    Yes, server shut-down and restart - as much of a pain it can be.

    Possible Resolution: Have all users exit Sage MAS 90 or 200 for the affected company, and recalculate account balances. If the error persists, reboot the workstation, and then recalculate balances.
