    Posted 01-27-2022 17:27
    Customer on Sage 100 Standard 2020 getting "There is not data to print" running Aatrix.  Checked Sage KB 18228 and followed all ideas there, getting the 1099 calendar year in AP Options up to date from 2018 (although they ran it last year with no problems...).  Checked the AP_Vendor 1099 file and there are 2021 records there, which are also visible in Vendor Maintenance.  Other oddity is that there are no rows available to enter the minimum amounts.  Ran the Aatrix updater and it says it now has the latest version of the software, still "no data".

    Any ideas?

    Set the AP Options back to 2020.  Run thru Aatrix a few screens, cancel out and answer Yes to the 'do you want to increment'.

    Try this: change 1099 year to 2020 in setup options, then begin 1099 Aatrix process for 2020 but cancel after first/second screen. It should then prompt to increment the year; answer yes. Then try 2021 again via aatrix. Courtesy of Brett Zimmerman via Sage City!

    Is this the same issue that is documented Sage KB 110707? Issue I 've had was because their default calendar year wasn't 2020 when they changed it to 2021 and it created the boxes based on years that didn't have the NEC form. I've had to DFDM sy_1099Setup.m4t and create the  2021 records for the "C".  I would think one could copy the sy_1099setup.m4t from a working system in the same Sage version. also

    If the customer has any data in the 1099 misc box 7, it will do this. The box doesn't show in Atrix (sorry for typeo- stupid phone spell check lol.)You can use explore to identify everyone with box 7 data and move them to nec box 1. Then the blank 1099 rows on 1099 will go away.

    I just had this happen to me a few days ago. The utility from last year only fixed 2020, not 2021 so my customer has cut a few checks in 2021 before we ram the utility so we just had to manually move them out.

    Might sound crazy, but twice this year, changing my AP Sys Date to 12/31/2021 resolved that very issue.

    Non Employee Compensation table is either blank or does not display correctly in 1099 Payment History for calendar year 2021

    Cause

    <content>

    The 1099 Default Calendar year was something earlier than 2020 when a user changed it to 2021. When changing the 1099 calendar year the following message displayed as the following, "The 1099 boxes for 2021 are not setup. Do you want to create them based on 2019?" (or any year earlier than 2020). If user said yes to this message, it created boxes with the Pre NEC filing option format. This most likely happens in Demo or test data where the last time 1099's were used was for year prior to 2020.

    This is working as designed.

    </content>

    Resolution

    <content>

    1 Change default calendar year to 2020 in Accounts Payable Options.

    2 Create a backup of the file SY_1099Setup.M4T in the MAS_System folder.

    3 In Data File Display and Maintenance, go to SY_1099Setup.M4T and delete records for 2021 calendar year for each respective form code.

    4 Go back into Accounts Payable Options and change the 1099 calendar Year from 2020 to 2021 and say Yes to the message, "The 1099 boxes for 2021 are not setup. Do you want to create them based on 2020?"
    5 The tables should now be formatted correctly in 1099 payment history.

    Alternate Resolution:

    1. Select File_Run from the Launcher Bar.
    2. In the Program field etner 'SY_1099Maint_ui' without the quotes and select OK
    3. In the Form 1099 Maintenance box, select the 1099 Form Type, Calendar Year, and Box ID.
    4. This will provide the Box Description and the box for Print on Form should be selected if the field is on the 1099.

    @Jim Woodhead the main resolution seems a little easier/quicker than setting ap options year to the prior year and running the 1099 printing program far enough to get the prompt "Do you want to increment the 1099 year..."
    I tried the alternate resolution to see what it did and I did not get "Non Employee Comp" on the drop down, even though it is setup on my test system - strange!?

    I had a somewhat similar issue ( mine was an UG 3.6 to 2021 that skipped as many interim upgrades as Sage would allow - think I went 2017 to 2021 )  - wound up taking a 2021 version of sy_1099Setup.m4t from my machine ( backup the customer version just in case ) then going back to 2020 and trying to print 1099. Eventually it worked. There's definitely some issue here.

    Issue with customer who upgraded 3.6 to 2021 - 1099-NEC boxes all blank

    Thanks Everyone!  Problem solved.
    I brought in a SY_1099Setup file which had C records for 2020, rolled the 1099 year back to 2020, started the Aatrix process and then canceled, let it create 2021 based on 2020, and then was able to process 2021.

    This can be moved out of Urgent.
