Sage 100 Standard 2018.2 - I rarely use the unified login feature of Sage. This particular customer does use it and I'm probably missing something super simple. How do I login as Administrator when Unified Login is established? I keep getting an ""Access Denied. Contact your system Administrator"". I know how to turn off unified via sorta.ini but seems like there is a way I'm missing for Admin to be able to login without having to work behind-the-scenes.

The Sage user must match the windows user logged in. For example, if you have logged into Windows as _admin_ but in Sage it's set up as _administrator_ the unified login won't work. You could have Window admin rights under another login, and that matching login in Sage could be assigned a role with full rights.

Add Logon=YES (YES in uppercase) to the [Config] section of SOTA.INI 1.Open Windows Explorer and go to the ""..\MAS90\Launcher\"" location on the server where Sage 100 is installed ?Note: For Advanced and Premium editions of Sage 100, go to the local ""..\MAS90\Launcher\"" location where Sage 100 Workstation Setup has been installed. 2.Double-click SOTA.INI to open the file in Notepad (or a generic text file editor) 3.Add Logon=YES to the [Config] section 4.Save and close SOTA.INI 5.Start Sage 100 and login 6.Remove 'Logon=YES' from SOTA.INI when done

That's how I've been doing it ... seems to be a slight security hole for a site that believes unified login is prohibiting a user from logging in via the standard UI. Oh well. At least there's not a way to hack past the admin password. P.S. Try showing this trick to the IT Director of a high security site and see how that conversation goes ... be prepared for the question ""so, I have to give full rights to \MAS90 which means all my Sage users could pull this trick?
