We have a client running Work Orders and getting Error 43 WOWDAF 6760 occurs in Work Order Entry, file = WOYxxx.soa Work Order Generic Sort File. We have purged WO's to 365 days but the record count is still over 1m. Not having used VI to import records in to WO1 and WO2 before, I'm hoping that someone here can provide guidance on how to accomplish this.

Sage's KB on how to fix is:

    Cause
Error occurs when the WO2xxx.soa index file exceeds 1,000,000 records and the file mask is blown.

    Resolution
History must be removed to reduce the number of records in the WO2xxx.soa index file  (xxx=company code)

Open Work Order, Main, Work Order Purge
Work Orders with a status of Closed will be purged to history based on the current date and the Number of Days to Retain Closed Work Orders defined in Work Order Options.
If the error still occurs after removing history:

Open Library Master, Utilities, Data File Display & Maintenance  WO2xxx to determine if Field 3, next index number, is still a number over 1,000,000.
        2.  If the field data is greater than 1,000,000, a possible workaround would be:

In Windows Explorer, rename the WO1xxx.soa and WO2xxx.soa files. (located in the ..\MAS90\MAS_xxx\WOxxx folder)
Open Library Master, Utilities, Reinitialize Data Files, Manual
Create WO1xxx.soa and WO2xxx.soa files and import the data back into the new files using the Visual Integrator module.

Get with @David Speck II - he's had to deal with one of our clients who went over

Refer to my last post in this thread for a possible solution.

Also, just another thought as our client was originally closing their work orders like we thought they were.
If they are only completing the work orders, then purging won't accomplish anything.
Make sure they are actually closing their work orders.

David - That was also something I had checked before. They used to have the habit of completing the work orders.
