A bit of the Q & A banter...
The c in 100c is for connected cloud capabilities. We are requesting a marketing change to spell ""cloud"" to position the c-line products as an entry point for customers to a full cloud solution
Sage 100cloud is just a new name for the subscription product. The positioning will be the same. we are giving customers a connected cloud product not a cloud product.
Sage 100c/300c is not going into the cloud we are just changing the name from c-line to connected cloud. Same messaging just a new name
The products are not change, just the name. This is a marketing change only
C-line messaging change will be a tough sell for 100c. Customers understand ""cloud"" as meaning a true browser-based multi-tenant application.
The naming change is a way to reinforce the connect cloud capabilities in the product and aligning to Sage Business Cloud as a stepping stone to a full cloud solution.
We already have people that say they don't want to switch to 100C because they don't want their data in the cloud. THIS IS NOT GOING TO HELP. And we have other people who say YAY, we want to be in the cloud - and with 100C, that's NOT what they get.
So this is a way to reinforce the connected cloud capabilities of the c-line products and align closer our native cloud solutions under Sage Business Cloud
Hello Cherry, we aren't not moving to market Sage 100c as cloud, we are just changing the name from Sage 100c to Sage 100cloud. The same messaging: an on prem solution but now with a focus on our connect cloud capabilities (more value within subscription)
Cherry, within Sage 100cloud the connected services are vast, SIA, AP Automation, eCommerce, O365, Budgeting
Budgeting & Planning, and Multi-Bin all come with Sage 100cloud, then there are others that you do have to pay for, but there is so much more value in the subscription product
Does the name change mean Sage 100 will be part of the Sage Business Cloud strengthening its position within the Sage offerings?
That is correct
I agree with Beth Bowers. Some of our clients resisted going to subscription because they thought the ""c"" meant cloud. They do not want cloud!
The ""c"" does not mean cloud, having the name change to Sage 100cloud/300cloud only means the positioning is now connected cloud capability with our connected services. Still on prem solution just more value with connected ecosystem
Don't you think that by calling it 100cloud it will be confusing to the customer? It seems to be confusing a lot of us partners.
Mary, as long as we are positioning the value of the subscription product, helping customers understand that the product/messaging still have value, we are only changing the name. Just like going from Mass90 to Sage 100.
