Sage 100

Sage 100 premium v2017. End user upgraded from 2014 premium to 2017 premium in January of this year. They have some financial reports in Sage Intelligence. In v2014 they were created using the Designer Add-in. In 2014 they were able to drill down to the detail. In 2017 they can only drill down to the detail if the Sage 100 client is running on the workstation, otherwise the #NAME? is displayed in the cell. Does anyone know why this happens?

I would like to know as well. I have a client suffering as well. I was told it was a software change and that they would have to buy a designer license to get the functionality back......

Not sure on Doug's question, but @JeffSchwenk - I had a customer that was able to use the Designer in a 4.5 or 5.0 version (without ever buying it) and when we upgraded, ran into the same issue - needed a Designer. Sage said there were some users that had been able to do this and the loophole was closed and they too had to buy a Designer. Doug did your client own the Designer in v2014? Maybe same issue?

Yes. My client owned a designer license in 2014. My understanding is the drill down used to work in Excel even if the Sage 100 client was closed. Now, in v2017, the drill down only works if the Sage 100 client is open. It doesn't seem to be that big a deal to me because most users leave the client open all day, but they noticed it and keep asking me if it is fixed yet.

I wonder if it's due to SI being a module now and what if they started SI via the BISignon.exe instead of thru S100 client? Worth a shot.

No. Customer is still complaining every month when they run the financials. They are not able to drill down on the detail.

Are these formulas straight GLActual type formulas or If/Then GLActual type formulas? Based on your picture, do you get #Name in the report itself if the S100 client is closed or just in the 'drilldown' tab (right click/drilldown)? Your picture looks like the Report. I just saved my template, and closed S100 v2017, leaving Report Manager open, ran the report and I was able to right click/drilldown on the amounts and get the Drilldown Tab.
