  • 1.  Sage 100 Premium tasks slow to launch

    Customer recently upgraded from Sage 100 2016 advanced to Sage 100 2019 Premium.  30 users.  Tasks are taking noticeably longer to launch ( 8 seconds for Sales Order Entry, 6 seconds for Item and Customer Maintenance).

    Any ideas on improving it?  Server is Windows 2016 VM, 48 GB RAM, SQL on same VM as Sage 100 server.  No difference between running as a service vs running as an application.

    No, but they do prefer to use IP Address for everything rather than Server Name.  Not sure if this is causing any of their problem or not.

    Phil, we are seeing the same thing at one of our clients, not sure what it is, we are seeing usually 5-6 seconds to open the screen at this client, so not as slow as yours.

    ​3 of the 4 users:  1803, 1809, 1903
    4th person was in the office today.
    the 1809 person had 10 random shutdowns today in addition to the slowness launching.  I suggested Terminal Server environment, but they aren't keen on it.

    No, I believe the server is in the same location as the worker bees so Lan.
    I'm not sure about the strength of their network though as they just brought the Sage inhouse after being hosted for a few years.  I suggested Tserver, even when working in the office to determine if it helped with launching task speed and random shutdowns.
