  • 1.  Sage 100 Premium OS Error

    This 40-user Premium client has started betting these errors starting late last week. The error is the same but the program changes. Rebooting the Sage and SQL servers fixes the issue temporarily but this morning they started up again. These look like OS issues but nothing in Sage KB on these. Anyone have a clue as to where to start looking to resolve this? Their IT consultants say nothing has changed on the systems side.

    "Forcibly closed" suggest network disconnects or timeouts.

    Agreed. That was my thought. However, not sure where to go from here. Would it be from the client, or the Sage server communicating with the SQL server?

    If SQL Server is on a separate machine, ensure the network connection between them (Sage server to SQL) is rock solid (including general factors like machine name resolution).
    Look for things like SQL mirroring / clustering which might interrupt Sage writing data to SQL.  If they put any SQL triggers in place, that could affect things too.  Review absolutely every customization by IT to the MAS_* SQL databases.
    Also review disk space (SQL log file sizes) and when SQL backups are being run.

    @Bill Pfahnl    Did you find a resolution to this?  We are getting  a similar  error running a SQLCMD from a VI Job.

    Hi @Jim Woodhead - Not really. We reinstalled Sage 100 which seemed to calmed things down for a while. Sage support took a look and and didn't find anything. It still pops up occasionally forcing a server reboot. Mostly now its one workstation or another and we reboot the workstation. I believe it's system related but IT can't figure it out.
