In case there are questions about the options a customer has that is still on plan on perpetual (Sage 100), WO and MRP are no longer options for new sales for those customers. They must go to Production Management and IRP, which are available under perpetual. The only customers that may add WO and MRP are winbacks, according to the notes on the Perpetual Order Form. Not sure why that is even true, because most winbacks must go to subscription - 100cloud.
I wonder how much time is spent deciding on these rules. Are entire meetings at Sage taking place with development, marketing and sales people taking part? Or does Kevin Babb get some handwritten notes for the latest version of the Order Forms and he makes up the notes on the right to fit his formulas?
