Sage 100 Payroll question here. Will Sage 100 correctly deduct the additional amount (0.9% associated with ACA) if an employee makes over $200,000.00. For some reason it did not do this for one customer during 2013. Can anybody confirm that it did, in fact, work for them in 2013? Has anybody looked closely enough at it for 2014 to feel comfortable that it will work this year?

I just checked a client's last year (2013) Payroll backup company data. Two highly compensated employees had the correct amounts deducted. Here is a screen shot of the FEDERAL Tax Table. See the note listed below the Employee Medicare amount. Don't have 2014 data to check but I would assume that it wil work in 2014. I would check the Federal Tax Table to make sure the note is shown there.

Thanks, Michael. I'll use that to recheck.

We had a couple of calls on this and ended up doing two detailed reviews. In each case the tax was calculated correctly by Sage and the error was caused by a payroll with a manual tax calculation.
