    Just released Sage 100 Payroll 2.24.0 Program Fix PR2240T

    What's new in Sage 100 Payroll 2.24.0 Program Fix PR2240T

    This resolves an issue where Error 65 PR_EmployeeTaxProfile_bus.pvc line 00435 occurs when running Year End Processing and deleting terminated employees. Terminated employees are deleted during year end processing if no payroll history data exists for the employee. The amount of time to retain payroll history data is determined by the Years to Retain Payroll History set in Payroll options.

    Download and install this update

    Important: If you use third-party products that integrate with Sage 100, check with the vendor of your third-party product to ensure their product is fully compatible with this release. If you integrate with other Sage products, check with your business partner or Sage to ensure that these components are compatible.

    1. Click the appropriate link to download and install the update:
      Download Sage 100 Payroll 2.24.0 Program Fix PR2240T
    2. If you are prompted to log in, enter your Customer Portal Username and Password, and then click Log in.

    WTH!  Do they do this on purpose?  PR 2.24 is released and just days later they release a patch?  Either they knew ahead of time they had a problem or they scrambled like never before to publish the fix.  Would be nice if they had posted a heads-up alert with the original release.

    Yeah, I was so pleased with myself for having gotten through about 50 PR clients so I didn't have to worry later - then had to go back and touch each one of them again. Happy happy, joy joy.  Payback for getting a leg up on things...

    @Beth Bowers  Does Sage 100 payroll have to be upgraded?  Are there critical features that will be missing if it isn't;t upgraded to the most current version?

    I have had someone successfully print W2s without the update, but I don't know what issues it IS covering.  You have to be on 2020 or higher of SAGE for your payroll to work with Aatrix changes, but I don't see that you specifically have to install 2.24.  Of course, if you HAVE installed it, then you need to install the fix. (*sigh*)

    @Jeff Schwenk it was posted at 5:55 pm EST on Friday, before a holiday weekend.  So maybe they did scramble to fix something?  @Beth Bowers I'm sorry... :(

    @Madeline Stefanou - Too late.  I called them out on it.

    Maybe they did hot foot the hot fix.  I just don't see them being as nimble as candlestick Jack.

    @Doug Higgs - Only one reference to Aatrix regarding Alabama OT.  I think they are trying to keep users on current versions of Sage 100.  I tend to agree.

    Also, when installing the new PR, don't forget to update your PR forms to Converted to version P/R 2.24 so you don't get a panicky support call when they can't update the forms.
