    I would upload the attachment if Higher Logic would work for attachments from my PC. It would probably make this post make more sense. 

    Sage just posted a PDF which suggest that Sage partners should engage other Sage partners in assisting them with Sage Partner Cloud and more specifically Azure setup. Which begs the question if you are going to all this trouble why not just use an already well established host who is not a competitor?

    Is it wrong of me to tell you how much I like you and your opinions @Wayne Schulz?!!

     

    I've been having discussions with Sage recently about the fact that if we didn't have an IT Team, we would have never been successful in hosting Sage 100.  I was trying to let them know that most resellers do not have the IT skillset or IT staff (or desire for that matter) to do the provisioning on Azure, and that it is just too risky and costly for most resellers to take on.  I have been assured that the Sage Cloud was tested in the marketplace and it is quite successful and the lack of knowledge is why the Sage Cloud Portal was developed.   Something tells me it was tested only with resellers with an IT Team as part of their group.

    Not sure if anyone at Sage has ever heard of my motto "Work Smart, NOT Hard".  Makes much more sense than their current  "ALL pain, no gain"!  Perhaps Sage is envisioning the day when the drive to rid the reseller corp of smaller groups is completed, leaving only the 10 mega resellers to work with.  At that point, every reseller will be big enough for their own IT support staff.  Until then, the little guys (hanging on) will continue to recommend a hosting provider that is a valued partner.

    And if you want to go down the rabbit hole, if Sage really wants to shove this down our throat, they will mandate a certain level of Sage Partner Cloud sales each year to remain a reseller in good standing.  Think about it!
