I didn't think Sage's original KB sounded correct.
At least, it wasn't my current understanding of how the expiration of a subscription should work.
This is why I posted here to see if anyone had noticed any changes.
Hearing nothing, I asked in my newsletter, and a couple of subscribers emailed me privately with similar thoughts that they hadn't seen the issue, so couldn't verify, but it seemed like a bad idea to lock people out of Sage after expiration.
It would be a lot easier if there were a quick way to verify KB articles that didn't seem right.

Thanks for the follow up on this, @Wayne Schulz. Your original post freaked me out a little - glad for the fix of a screwup clarification on Sage's part.

After I published this info on 12/1/2022 in my Schulz Says newsletter, Sage updated their KB. And for those of you playing along at home ( or forwarding info to Sage ), the reason I can't verify this type of info with Sage is they rarely reply ( unless they're really pissed, which in that case their replies are usually best summarized as "yeah, you're right, but you can't say that because it makes us feel/look bad."
Will Sage 100 data be accessible after a Sage 100 subscription expires?

<kanisa_authored_doc>Summary
<content>
Will Sage 100 data be accessible after a Sage 100 subscription expires?
</content>
Resolution
<content>
- Sage 100 allows a 45 day grace period with full access to data once a subscription expires. Customers will receive a message informing them the subscription has expired and display how long they can continue accessing Sage 100 with full access. During this time, the Customer may contact Sales and renew their subscription if the expiration was unintentional.
- After the 45 day grace period, Sage 100 will only have Read-Only access to data
- Customers can still open Sage 100, which will display a message that the Sage 100 subscription has expired, and view existing data but it will no longer have the ability to make changes to the data or enter new transactions
- Reports will run since reports are simply reading existing data
- Maintenance screens will still be accessible, but the fields will be display-only, similar to Inquiry screens
- Visual Integrator Import Jobs will be accessible to view, but the fields will be disabled and the buttons to execute the Import Job will not be displayed
