Sage 100

Hi there

We did a recent upgrade.  Client was on 2014.  We upgraded them to 2021.  They are not on a current plan (which escaped our keen eye) and we used their existing keys from 2014.  The upgrade is live.  I thought that either if a client was not active then an upgrade to 2021 would not work as it requires its own keys.

Anyone know anything specific?

I think whether the keys work or not depends upon their type of license.

Presumably they had a perpetual license or the keys wouldn't have worked.

In cases where the customer has perpetual keys I tell them they can get to whatever version was current at the time their license expired. I haven't run into this too often as most people not current with Sage are not interested in paying someone to upgrade them.
