    Sage 100 ERP v4.5.5 Premium. User attempts to print and the only printer available is ""Deferred"". This happens intermittently... any workstation, any user, about once a day. Looked at the available printers. In one instance there was a network fax driver (printer) that was ""unable to connect"". In another instance all printers were connected. In another instance, all of the network printers were ""unable to connect"". I understand that unavailable printers could cause this but that doesn't explain the instance where all printers were connected yet still received only the option for Deferred printing. Has anyone seen this?

    It's a lost network connection. It happens to me occasionally. I'm not sure why I lose the connection but I just go to \\[networkname] and it does the trick.

    1. Printer offline 2. A form was last printed by another user (on a different computer) with a printer that does not exist on the computer for the user who is only seeing ""deferred

    @WayneSchulz - How could the last user print if they were only seeing deferred?

    The last user doesn't see deferred. They see their printer. Doug Higgs prints with ""Doug's Printer"" using Invoice form code ""Company Invoice"" Wayne Schulz from his workstation goes to invoice form code ""Company Invoice"" and he does NOT have ""Doug's Printer"". This is one instance where I have seen the Deferred default. We fixed it by adding the printer to the users computer. I think we were also able to workaround it by removing the last printer through perhaps SY_ReportSettings? This may also be version specific -- from what I remember I saw it in 4.4.x

    The worst is when bringing up the form gives an error 88. At that point I think I've had to DFDM the SY_ReportSetting and deal with either a bad printer or more likely the paper size/width.

    I just had a similar call - customer is on Sage 100 v4.4 Standard. The issue was that the workstation had just been upgraded to Windows 7. The default printer was valid but showed a ""needs new / updated driver "". Right clicked the printer - selected ""update driver"" and we were back in business.

    Another star for @ThereseLogeais - Network connection was the culprit for Sage 100 Advanced user. Just started this week, but didn't have all the network permissions required.
