Sage 100 ERP 2014 user. Asks me if there's a way to send out an item that is part of a kit for outside processing. Upon receiving back in can that item be automatically assembled into a finished good simply by the receipt back into inventory? Can WO do this? Any other third parties that are under $2500 cost?

BOM transactions entry - Separate part number, do a ROG. Then process a BOM transaction for the kit. Two steps.

Yep, I have several clients that do it this way. The item number is for the cost of the outside processing.

I actually have one client that thinks this two step process is TOO complicated for his employees to catch on to. And you should see their present process......... Sometimes people can't see the simplicity for the forest....

Sometimes it takes a bit of work to get the client to grasp the fact they are buying the processing since they already own the parts.

So true. Will have to follow up this summer again. Almost had them in 2013. Same client is paying for client care but needs ""convincing"" that they should move off of v4.3....
