Sage 100 ERP 2014 Setup has failed. I was able to install the MS SQL Server CE manually from the prereq folder, but when I try to install MS Visual Studio 2010 for Office Runtime is tells me it's already installed, which it is. I don't really want to uninstall, but if that's the only option....

Do you have .net 3.5 installed? If you don't, you have to add it as a feature in WIn 7/8 or on servers. Also I had the setup fail due to insufficient hard disk space on the servers C drive - couldn't install .net 4 because the c drive was almost full.

.NET Framework 4 Extended is installed, I'll install 3.5 as well and see if that helps.

Did you ever resolve this? Have the same thing going on Server 2008 R2 ST. .net 3.5 and 4.0 are installed, enough hard drive space, rebooted server, IT is logged in with RDP but did log onto the console and tried to install, same error.

Try uninstalling the software, then install the prerequisite from the DVD install. Has worked for me. Frustrating but it worked.

We copied the install files to the desktop and were able to install. During rest of install, ran into problems and found an article (from you, thank you!) about SYSTEM not being in the permissions area. Found it was at root of D, then stripped out of next folder, added back in to Sage folder and we are back on track for the install anyway. Thanks.
