What Sage doesn't realize is we aren't in 1985 any longer.
The accounting department is not in control of the overall IT infrastructure.
When IT says server upgrade the accounting folks don't have much (any) say over version or timing.
That's one of the key benefits cloud computing has brought to the table.
When a server is taken out of the equation there's one less thing to worry about and maintain.
As Sage slows the pace at which SPM is release then IT departments have more ammunition to demand that the accounting department use a solution that's more IT friendly.
Clearly, the IT department doesn't specify the accounting system in all cases. But I bet the constant drumbeat of not wanting to be held up by restrictive "approved server versions" helps keep IT on the backs of the accounting department.
It's almost worthless now to send out an SPM because the IT department looks at how old some of the info is and if they are doing a large server upgrade they want to be on the latest Microsoft technology so as not to have to upgrade quite so often. IT laughs at <g class="gr_ gr_1109 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="1109" data-gr-id="1109">these SPM</g> which are 1 year (or more) old.

Feedback from a Sage tech employee (not Elliot).
MS Server 2019 I have a feeling is gonna be issues kinda like Windows 10 Creator's release. MS pulled Server 2019 from MSDN download for a long while. I've been checking for the past 2 months and just recently put it back up again. So in the process of being tested. I hope it will be on the SPM next update which I think is in March/ April.
Unfortunately, I get tired of seeing Sage's second face where they say one thing and either do the opposite or not do anything at all. I think we all know their reality. For many, they are the mole in the "Whack a mole" arcade game. Keep your head down and keep the paycheck coming. The people at the top get their guaranteed millions until they run out of snake oil and then the door revolves a partial revolution for the next shyster to emerge.
If you happen to chat with Elliot, please pose the question to him.

No offense taken. To each their own. I find that since Sage cares about public image so much that they are paying more attention to their forums, and I've received some positive responses from Sage employees on SC. (Not to mention SC paying my way to Summit, twice).
I do hide overtly negative feedback on the Partners section (because a damaged Sage brand does not help customer relations).
(I'm also super peeved by the multiple logins for Sage sites... Portal, SageSell, SageU, SageCity... ugh! World class software company...? Not quite.).

Kevin, I don't mean to sound snobbish, but I haven't done Sage City since they transitioned from Sage Talk. The move was a PITA for me and after several weeks of going around with tech support trying to get access, I gave up. It may different now but multiple sites (partner portal, Sage Sell and Sage Community require multiple logins). And honestly, once the 90M Socialcast site gained traction, I never felt the need to participate in the community. In fact, back when Best Talk was the forum is when the genesis for this group was formed as Wayne, Beth, Alnoor, myself and others were heavy posters and we would meet up at the Insights conferences.
I'll send a note off to my Sage insiders and post back their response.

The last SPM is dated 2/2018 so it's probably a good idea to make sure Sage adds this if they are on a one-year release schedule for updating their SPM. Otherwise, you might wait yet another year.

If you post the question to Sage City, Elliott may comment on their timeline for testing / officially being added to SPM.
