Sage 100 Advanced - v 2014 SU1 - one workstation (only 1 out of 25), worked fine last week, this week will not start Sage100. Hangs with what looks like a cross (not a plus sign, but perhaps a | and a - Does not get to the user login. Tried re-running workstation setup, including repair and remove and re-install. Also renamed the computer. also, the system shows that it needs the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 for office runtime, but this is already installed (actually a newer version) - system is windows 7 32 bit. Has any seen this ? thanks Jeff

Only this workstation? Have other users logged out and tried to get back in successfully?

Hi Jeff~ I have seen this and corrected it by looking and closing any open sessions for that computer/user combination in the master console. Not sure if renaming the computer, as you said you did, rules this fix out or not. In my case it was just a hung session.

I've also had to rename those 2 files in the home/lib/_appserv - locate.pvk and sessions.pvk

I've found that an error is open on the server that will allow the user to get back in. Agree with Beth that these two files should be renamed, too. They are recreated when you re-run the host application. If memory serves, me you need to start the host as an application first (so these files get created); don't think these files will get created when starting as a service after the renames
