Sage 100 Advanced Paperless. Have a client that switched from Std to Adv and we have had issues with ACH and Paperless ever since. Originally the issue was that the files were stored on a different server. But now, even with moving everything to the same server, ONE person can run everything and no one else can. SOOOOO - how does the network rights thing work with Sage Adv? I figured since they were all running Sage Adv they would all have the same network rights for these things as far as Sage was concerned - whatever the rights were of the user running the service. But sounds like NOT?

So far as I know if one can run so should everyone else. Remember that to view documents created by others requires role security to see other documents (not just those you generated).

When you set up the Paperless paths, use a UNC instead of mapped drives... unless everyone has the same mapping.

We are using UNC. The error is when they are trying to create the documents, not view.

We always run the Sage service using a Windows login (not as a local service), so the service has access to network resources... and that might be it... but then it wouldn't work for anyone. What's the error message?

It's the old ""The directory in P/L Form Maintenance is invalid or is not accessible from this workstation

If the user has Spawn Tasks from the server enabled, that could cause the issue if the service doesn't have access to the UNC.

Interesting, but no one has it checked. :-(

Then the user permission for the PDF creation comes from the user session. You can open the path using Windows Explorer? (Not through the Sage client).

Our 2 cents. Always install the workstation as network administrator and the run the application as administrator (as in when launching sage). Second the user that is running the services should be a domain administrator (if it's not), and have access to all the network shares. You've already made sure to be using UNC. paths.
