Sage 100 Advanced 4.50.2 - The physical variance register to preview has been running for over 2.5 hours on the server and hasn't displayed yet! An ODBC link shows that there are about 20k records (they have serialized inventory) in the IM Phyiscal file, which explains part of the slowness but seriously this is taking far too long. Is it due to the preview? I've another import/update to run and I'm dreading a late night...help!

Pretty ridiculous that Sage has serial valuation but no optimization for dealing with it for physical counts. It's not unheard of that you'd have 100+ serial numbers for a single finished good and multiply that by 200-300 items and you've got a large file. It would be a great asset to Sage 100 sales if they'd actual test this before selling it. If their beta program actually tested real-life scenarios, but I'm not holding my breathe. All the more reason that a ""90 Minds Approved"" seal of approval for each release would increase Sage's sales and save of us all great deal of heartaches, and help our own bottom lines.

It worked well in the ABC company five years ago. What additional testing COULD they have done???????

Use the SQL version - this BS of waiting on printing type issues is history!!!!

Gee if only the WO and MRP modules were available in the SQL version I'm sure I'd be able to the client to upgrade. And you know, @JeffSchwenk it probably did work when IM wasn't BF, but I've not tested it...I think I might just to see...
