    Sage 100 Advanced 2017 Any hidden secrets to debugging a sudden issue where paperless stops connecting to an SMTP server? My first step is to go to company maintenance, verify the password and try to test an email. Once this fails it can be a long road to try to walk a customer who is not super tech savvy through debugging their Exchange Server // SMTP connection. I'm not seeing any errors related to something that might be a bad login. It looks like the Sage paperless can't find the SMTP server (I can ping the IP)

    My standard response is ""This is an IT issue. Please contact your IT support for assistance"" Usually boils down to an IT change or update.

    I always find that something has changed with the Exchange Server // SMTP connection, most always is permissions related.

    Has it been going on long enough that it's definitely not just a temporary hitch in its get-along?

    If the test fails I copy the entire message into a word or notepad document and tell the client to send it to their IT person. also agree with @MichelleTaylor1 - usually something has changed on the Exchange server side of things.
